RePhoR ends: FiW surveys stakeholders on results and transfer
Since 2020, the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) has supported seven joint research projects on phosphorus recovery from sewage sludge and sewage sludge ash through the funding measure “Regional Phosphorus Recycling” (RePhoR). The background: the revised German Sewage Sludge Ordinance obliges operators of larger wastewater treatment plants to recover phosphorus from sewage sludge by 2029 or 2032, depending on plant size. Over the past few years, RePhoR has developed methods and concepts that municipalities and plant operators can use to meet this requirement.
The funding measure is ending soon; some joint projects are still ongoing, while others have already been completed. FiW accompanies RePhoR as part of the transfer project TransPhoR and is conducting a closing survey on this basis. It is aimed at everyone who has come into contact with RePhoR, for example through professional events, publications or direct exchange with the joint projects. The aim is to determine how the methods and concepts developed in the project have been received and what contribution they can make to the transfer into practice.
Depending on the respondent’s role, participation takes about 5 to 10 minutes. Responses are collected anonymously and evaluated only in aggregate form.

Participation is possible until Friday, 06 November 2026.
